Great to do during free time! Love the aspect of following directions and then some pages like you free draw the background and scenes! Love this book!
I actually received this book as a gift for my son who was in first grade and I agree, second grade is a great fit! We are just really getting into the enjoyment of this book and honestly, it's a great family activity. Easy to follow instructions that are great for everyone in the family! Really builds a lot of artistic confidence!
Easy to follow visual instructions! Great for following directions and improving fine motor skills for kids who have difficulty with drawing.
Both children love this book, and I find them pulling it out even when we are not actively schooling. I have them do the activities on regular paper, so they can go back and do the designs over and over again at will.
I bought this for my son who needs a boost in creativity but gets frustrated drawing freehand. He is very procedure oriented so showing him things in a series of steps works best for him. We love this book.
