Functional Sharp Edge. Not for children under 3 years.
Kiddos loved using these, they’re sharp but not in the way I’m concerned about them getting hurt. Only complaint is they stain so easily
I really wanted to include cooking with our curriculum but was worried about the cutting parts of certain recipes. These have been wonderful to use. I even feel safe letting my almost 4 year cut with them.
These are great for learning proper knife skills and just keeping littles busy while I prepare a meal. I let my preschooler “chop” fruits and veggies while I cook.
This was a great starter knife to teach our little one safety skills while learning to cut. Nice quality item and holds up well.
While these are not chef-quality, they are perfect for little hands and getting them used to holding and cutting with real knives. They are the sizes of adult knives and they do cut softer fruits and vegetables with ease. We have even used it to cut a loaf of artisan bread with a crispy crust (perhaps not as neatly as a bread knife would do, but it was good practice!) They aren't sharp enough to cut a child without a great deal of pressure. I would consider it the knife equivalent to safety scissors. Does the job well and great for practice, but don't expect to replace your knives with these.
