Little Annie's ART Book of Etiquette & Good Manners
Uncertain if your child needs some improvement in his social graces? Here is a clue: if your child has ever said to a hostess that the meal looks wonderful, but tastes disgusting, as our precious Pearl did at 3, then some additional effort on your part may be necessary! There are many colorful storybooks that try to teach manners with story or verse, but Little Annie's Art Book of Etiquette & Good Manners utilizes our favorite method: hands-on.
Employing a delightful text, it teaches social graces using generous amounts of Scripture along with simple art assignments. Lessons on dinner etiquette, being a good listener, writing a thank you note, discerning what quality time is and much more are all reinforced with appealing and easy art lessons. I cannot imagine a more memorable or more agreeable way to teach a young child to forsake his own natural desires and look to the needs of others. Ninety pages, recommended by the author for ages 4 - 7, but I think that even an 8- to 10-year-old would enjoy the assignments and remember the lessons.
Lessons may be done directly in the text or copied for in-home use.
Recommended materials: A set of crayons or colored pencils and a large drawing pencil.
