Timberdoodle's Review
KidCoder Windows & Game Programming
Now your 6th – 8th Grade student can learn Visual Basic with KidCoder Windows Complete, a two-semester self-studying computer programming course. This brilliant and much needed course is written by experienced software engineers who are also homeschool parents. They know how crazy-busy homeschooling can be, so KidCoder Windows Series' self-study curriculum requires no parental expertise!

In the first semester, your student will learn to write graphical Windows programs using the Visual Basic programming language. That includes working with numeric and text data, finding and fixing program errors, publishing programs to other computers, and more, culminating in the creation of a simple video game.

In the second semester of KidCoder Windows Complete, your child will learn how to draw shapes on the screen, display and animate images, play music and sound effects, and more. With KidCoder Windows & Game Programming, he will write several Visual Basic video games and gain the skills needed to create more on his own.

Using industry-standard languages, the engaging, hands-on KidCoder Windows & Game Programming's activities will require no additional software purchases. This edition of the course is entirely web-based, and includes a 12-month subscription to the course.
