Metal Earth Pteranodon
The average adult male pteranodon could have a wingspan of as much as 18 feet! Since fossilized fish bones or fragments of scales have been discovered in the stomach area of several pteranodon fossils, it is surmised that fish made up at least a part of the pteranodon’s diet. Pteranodon fossils have been discovered across America in Kansas, Alabama, Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
About Metal Earth
Metal Earth is a collection of intricately designed model building kits. Each kit consists of remarkably detailed laser etching cut onto one or more four-inch square sheets of thin metal. Simply snap out the pieces, bend the tabs to attach them together and create highly-detailed replicas of vehicles and architecture that fit in the palm of your hand. Striking to look at, especially when placed to catch the light, most Metal Earth models take about 1-3 hours to assemble, and on average measure about three inches long when completed. All can be assembled without any glue, although tweezers or needle-nose pliers to bend the tabs, or the super-slick Metal Earth Tool Set, will save your child from sore fingers. Because of the tiny size of the components and the complexity of the models, Metal Earth models are best enjoyed by teens 14 and older, or children 10 and older with very strong fine motor skills, and even by dads and moms!
