From the original innovator of black and white developmental toys for infants comes Nursery Novel, the perfect multi-sensory developmental toy for your little one. With it, they can scrunch, squeeze, lift the flaps, or look at themselves in a mirror while keeping themselves entertained for hours.
Mentally stimulating, the Nursery Novel’s soft textures, crinkle paper, flaps, tags, and baby-safe mirror incorporate over 40 years of research on infant visual development. Lightweight, the eight unique fabric panels fold easily, or use unfolded; you can place it flat on the floor for tummy time. So I can definitely get behind the science and research that went into this nursery novel. The colors and shapes are bold and contrasting which is good for newborn eyes, the book is soft and crinkly and has a few interactive features that I appreciate and obviously other families' babies do too. That being said...
I've used this nursery book since my baby literally came home from the hospital and he is now almost 6 months old. He's just not and never really has been into it. I think it's great (in theory) for tummy time but for some reason my son either loses interest in a few seconds or isn't interested at all. Sorry Timberdoodle, but for my family this nursery novel didn't make the cut.
I recently bought this for my 4 month old- He absolutely loves it! The fabric is so soft and the crinkle sounds are very satisfying to him. The contrast in colors are pleasing and grab attention. It is easy for my baby boy to play with and interact with. So glad I chose to get this.
This item is nice and soft. I'm impressed with it. My baby states at it. So I assume she likes it.
