Mobi Max Game - Timberdoodle Exclusive
Our price: $24.99
Timberdoodle Exclusive Mobi Max is Mobi Math, but is a better set for younger players because it comes with extra addition/subtraction tiles. One challenge our review team observed is that when the standard Mobi Math is played by several novice mathematicians, the addition/subtraction tiles will run out before the end of the game, leaving only the multiplication/division operations tiles that younger players may not know how to incorporate into their equations. Enter Mobi Max. The extra addition/subtraction tiles provided in this Timberdoodle-exclusive set make it possible to play with an even larger proportion of younger players.
About Mobi Math
Multiply your child’s math calculation speed while adding fun to his day with Mobi. This fast-paced number tile game transforms necessary math drill from tedious to exciting. Mobi’s crossword-style game is made up of sturdy aqua number tiles and white double-sided operations tiles. Use them to make simple math equations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. But make them fast because the first one to use all their blue tiles and yell “Mobi” wins.
Begin by separating the colors into two piles with the number tiles face down. Draw seven number tiles. Operation tiles are taken as needed and you can use either side of the tile. Then, as fast as possible, create a “pod” of math equations to use up your number tiles. As you play you will be adding more number tiles to your pile until all tiles from the pool are gone. To integrate newly drawn tiles you will often need to rearrange existing tiles, so your pod is always shifting. The first player who completes his pod wins. There are many ways to play Mobi, like using only the addition and subtraction tiles for younger children, or even a variation to make the game more of a challenge for math buffs. Our review team also enjoyed the Chill Mobi variation, where all the number tiles are divided evenly among the players at the start of the game.
Mobi is a delightful tile game that will make your children want to review basic math facts. Perfect for on-the-go families, all you need to play is Mobi and a flat surface. Mobi Max includes over 180 acrylic plastic tiles in a cute whale-shaped storage pouch for 1 to 6 players. Please note, the Mobi Max uses generic Mobi packaging that does not reflect the count on the Timberdoodle exclusive 180+ piece set.

”The quickest way I can describe this game is “Scrabble for math.” However, there are some fun differences to how it’s played.”Read the Review
It's a pretty decent little game. My daughter enjoys it, so four stars.
MobyMax is a fun game to mix up math class and take a workbook break. It can be a long game, so note that. It has division, which we weren't ready for when we started playing it, but we still were able to use it and just help them with those problems. We plan to continue to use it and grow our math skills as a family.
I love the versatility of these tiles! I bought this instead of the kids version for my 1st grader and just put away the multiplication and division tiles until she is ready. She has a bit of a hard time grasping the scrabble game concept still, but she LOVES pulling out the tiles to make her own equations. We’ve also arranged a handful of tiles from least to greatest, put them together to make larger numbers for her to read, sorted tiles by number, played “war” where we see who can draw the larger number tile, and other games. An excellent product for number creativity!
I am glad I decided to purchase this game. It really gets them thinking in different ways. You have to look at your numbers and really analyze can you add, subtract, or multiple these numbers to get an answer you have. My daughter (8) had a little trouble at first with trying to think that way but she is starting to get the hang of it.
My kiddos don't even realize they are practicing math facts when we play this game! So if traditional flash cards or sheets of fact drill just are not working, please give this a try. We keep this game on standby for when math facts become a tear-producer. It saves the day! And we have found other ways to incorporate Mobi Max into other math lessons, too!
