My son is not a fan of this. Much of the work seems like repetitive busy work, however, the book states it is not meant to seem as busy work and is an integral part of it's curriculum.
I like this approach to spelling. My 4th grader does too. The student copies a paragraph about a historical figure a few times and at the end of the week, you read it to them and they write it. Not only do they go over their writing with a fine tooth comb (in this case colored pencils) to mark vowel chunks and consonant chunks but they are also learning when and how to use punctuation.
Easy to read and follow.
This is a unique way to learn how to spell. It is rewarding to see her getting more word right after each lesson. Spelling is not her best subject, however she is loving this book.
This is the easiest spelling program I've ever used with my daughter.
