Last Thanksgiving we were looking for an art project that all the littles could do that was virtually mess-free, appealing to multiple ages and interests, and would need mental concentration, meaning less noisy chaos. What we found was Animal Homeland Mosaics, and we have been fans ever since.
With beautiful big, easy-to-peel foam pieces for chubby little kids' fingers and surprising extras like three kinds of jewel stickers and accent stickers for decorating, Animal Homeland Mosaics make a perfect rainy day, quiet time, or plane-trip distraction. Use the multi-textured stickers to create fish, rabbit, crocodile, squirrel, hornbill, cat, owl, and sheep pictures.

Every week my daughter looks forward to creating a mosaic! I love that it is something she can do totally on here own, it works on her fine motor skills, helps her follow instructions, and be creative!!
My 4 year old daughter loved this so much she finished all of them in one day! Lol highly recommend if you have an art loving 4/5 year old!
I purchased this kit for my 5.5yo daughter. I was excited that it came with so many animals to make, so I knew its entertainment value would last awhile. She loved making them, but unfortunately, we found many of the stickers were falling off pretty immediately, and I found small stickers around the house for days afterward.
I’m giving this 5 stars because the projects came out so cute, my daughter loved them, and it was great for letter practice and hand-eye coordination. The only negative is that most of the rhinestone sticker backs stayed on the sticker sheets when peeled off. My daughter was able to place all of the foam stickers by herself but I had to get the rhinestone stickers off for her. This would not prevent me from buying again but I’m glad I wasn’t using this as an alone time activity to occupy her.
I choose this as a part of my curriculum set because I love art and wanted to teach my son about mosaics. He’s almost four and loves working with his hands. Most of the stick-on pieces were easy for him. I did not like that some of the bead looking pieces were difficult to peel off and stick on the mosaic for him. He got frustrated and I had to help him peel off every one. And about 10% of those beads fell off the mosaic picture after hanging it up vertically. A danger for my infant as I caught her trying to eat one.
Either way I give it 3 stars because we will still be using this product and enjoying it as much as we can. No more hanging up though.
