Building Thinking Skills Book 1
Building Thinking Skills
These thinking skills books are among our favorites because of their tremendous scope. They develop four basic analytical skills (similarities/differences, sequences, classification, and analogies) through both figural and verbal problems.
In addition, there are problems dealing with deductive reasoning, map skills, Venn diagrams, mental manipulation of two-dimensional objects, and much more.
Studies have shown that students using these books have raised their national test scores significantly in both content and cognitive tests! What's more, these books are never boring!

”The workbooks are designed to be consumable, but I’ve always preferred to sit with a child on either side of me and work through the exercises together — at least for the beginning books. They think through each problem and take turns pointing to the correct answer.”Read the Review
My daughter loves thinking skills activities. This book is great for thinking skills but she hated it. The book is so dry and boring. She hates anything that does not have color and this book was so big and not in color at all. I like the idea of the book but think it can be done better.
My child loves critical thinking activities and books but this had too much going on and is presented in a dry sort of way. Definitely more engaging ways to add critical thinking into the mix.
We've loved every we've ordered made by this company. I have loved watching my 7/8 year old look at things from different angles. It truly is a wonderful book. I do wish it was colorful like the younger ages.
My 7 year is using critical and logic but he hates doing this book. I have tried different ways to incomodarte this book into our homeschool sessions but have able to succeed without hearing complains. My son is advance in learning and loves to learn but he hates this book. I will not give up on using it since I do see him learning but I wouldn’t but it again.
Definitely alot of assignments a week but it is great to get the mind thinking, problem solving and reasoning. A great addition to any curriculum.
