Functional Sharp Edge. Not for children under 3 years.
This set is a little difficult to cut with if your child does not do a slight sawing action with downward pressure. My four year old son still has not got the hang of it. The good news is that from ages 3-4 my son is cutting veggies and has NOT been hurt in any way!
We've really enjoyed these knives with kids aged 8, 5 and 3. They have enjoyed cutting peppers, cucumbers, carrots apples, and zucchini. I don't worry about them hurting themselves, they enjoy helping with food prep. With 3 knives in a pack, everyone can cut at once. Excellent!
These are good and my toddler uses them with supervision. I did test the claim that you can't cut yourselfwith these knives by running the pad of my pointer finger down the blade. I ended up with a nice cardboard/paper cut sized slice. Love this product, but want to make sure people realize these are still knives and CAN cut a finger.
These knifes are a good safe option for young kids who want to do it all by their self. My son cuts his sandwich, carrots and apples. But likes them so much he will also insist on cutting up cheese sticks and bananas too.
