Critical & Creative Thinking Activities, Grade 1 - By Evan-Moor
View More Sample Pages

The relationship between critical and creative thought can be misunderstood. But in fact, profound thinking requires both imagination and intellectual ideas. To produce excellence in thinking we need to engage our children in a curriculum that overlaps the logical and the imaginative sides of thinking.

Forty-six Units
Critical & Creative Thinking Activities' forty-six theme-based units will give your child lots of practice thinking in a variety of ways. From brain teasers and logic puzzles to mazes, Venn diagrams, and secret codes, Critical & Creative Thinking Activities has a wealth of mind-boggling activities that your child will enjoy.

Logical Thinking, Problem Solving...
Exercises include thinking fluency, originality, generalizing, patterning, and problem solving. Every lesson is based on grade-appropriate themes and is correlated to state standards. Published by a secular company, Critical & Creative Thinking Activities may include a unit or two that might not be appropriate for all families. Imagination and reason function best in tandem, and Critical & Creative Thinking Activities delivers just that.
Features
Forty-six lessons complement language arts, science, and social studies curricula.

Great book with multiple child copyright

I was so excited to get this book and even more thrilled when I read the copyright info in the front cover! I was able to photocopy the whole book for child one LEGALLY ! We love the activities. Only skipped maybe 4 sections (Halloween, 100th day of school...etc). Felt like it was a good level for my son who started out the year unable to read but finished the year self directing. The activities kept his interest very well.

This book was alright. Some of the activities were fun but was daughter was overall quite bored with this book. It just didn't hold her attention and was rather dry.

Very engaging

My kindergartener finds each lesson interesting and challenging. The worksheets open up learning opportunities for him beyond the puzzles on the page.

Great workbook.

My child says, “Critical and creative gets me thinking!” The worksheets are easy to follow and fun. It’s a good addition to your curriculum. We’ve never been disappointed with Evan-Moor books.

Must Have

This is a great and fun workbook for getting your little one to think outside the box by using and strengthening those very important critical thinking skills! I love watching my son's brain tick when going through this workbook and seeing what kind of answers he would come up with.
