Cat & Mouse
Welcome back to an old friend, and one of the first Smart Games invented over 20 years ago. Our five children grew up playing Cat and Mouse. It was a perennial favorite at homeschool conferences when that used to be a thing. So we were excited to bring this award-winning logic-based maze puzzle back into production, exclusively for Timberdoodle.
Build a Path with Maze Tiles
In Cat and Mouse, your child will choose a challenge and then make the right connections to build a path by arranging the sturdy plastic maze tiles to connect the images shown in the booklet. Cat and Mouse is different from most other Smart Games because the challenges have more than one solution, perfect for developing divergent thinking. Each challenge increases in difficulty with the more difficult challenges introducing your student to variable logic.
Forty-eight Multi-Level Challenges
There are 48 challenges with over 1,000 solutions ranging from easy to difficult. Everything stores inside the 7-1/2" game board for easy travel. Cat and Mouse develops logical thinking skills, strategic planning, and visual/spatial perception.

CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
As an adult I found this challenging. Maybe I need some more work with brain puzzlers! lol But, it was way over the head of my 4 year old and quite challenging for my 6 year old. We have only played it once though so they may catch the hang of it with more time.
I liked it because it was like a brain building game and it has many levels, and there are different ways to complete each level. I've spent a lot of time figuring out the levels.
Got this for my 9 year old by my 4 year old loves it even more. I got this as a hands on activity for my daughter to do during lessons when I might be helping my 4 year old with his work. When it came my 4 year old solved the first 8 puzzles in about 10 minutes. I though it would be too difficult for him, but now its a great toy for both of them. Love that it is all portable as well. The pieces stay in the grooves well so they don't bounce around.
The whole family loves this game. My four year old is able to do the beginner challenges on his own, and we enjoy working together on the harder ones. The game packs up in itself so it is great for keeping in the car or traveling since it is less likely to lose parts.
This is one of the first "thinking games" we purchased from Timberdoodle many years ago. Cat & Mouse is the old standby at our house that I will have children "warm up" with before trying some of the other more challenging games. It is easy enough for most to not get frustrated with, while challenging enough not to be boring. I've noticed that Cat & Mouse is almost always one of the games that gets packed for a long road trip!
