I love This plant cell model. The kids enjoy putting it back together over and over again. They can tell you every part of it.
I wish these were available when I was a kid. It’s a great way to “see” what you’re learning about. The pieces are small so you need to keep track of them. We keep ours up out of reach of the smaller kids. Once my kids went back to public school, they brought it in to show and the teacher loved it.
My son and I loved putting this model together. It was a little tough getting some of the outer pieces to fit together, but we got it. We did crack the front view panel, but my son still found the project awesome since he loves all things plants. All in all, this was still a great project for him.
This was a fun evening of putting together this Plant Cell Model. Our outer Cell Wall never seemed to line up right no matter how we tried, and the instructions were a little iffy. This would be best used in part of a botany unit, to reinforce the parts of a plant cell. We still have it displayed but it doesn't hold up great with a toddler in the house and is constantly falling apart, but it's really cool to have out in the classroom.
See it, touch it, say it. The multisensory approach is a good way to increase the likelihood of retaining information learned. However, fitting the green pieces together proved frustrating. Bought for middle school use.
