Solitaire Chess Review by A to Z Learning Adventures

review by A to Z Learning Adventures

”Basically, with this game, you are playing against yourself. You are trying to eliminate one piece with every move... It's a process of elimination with one last piece standing.”

Solitaire Chess Review by Cummins Life

review by Cummins Life

”Solitaire Chess is really a logic puzzle that must be solved for each challenge. The goal of Solitaire Chess is to capture a chess piece with every move you make until only one piece remains on the challenge card.”

Win at a family gathering

I bought Solitaire chess to improve my own chess game. At a recent family gathering I left it out on a small table, in addition to the usual puzzle table. My husband, my son, and two of my sons-in-law, all found it [without guidance :)], and were captivated. Each of them plays chess and found it engaging and challenging! As a novice I found it less intimidating than a full chess board. Solitaire chess is a very satisfying game.

A good mental workout!

This is a great intro to chess for those that have never played and is challenging enough to stump even the most accomplished player. It is intended for solitaire play, but my family also enjoys working together to solve the puzzles. It is compact and easy to set up.
My only complaint- the pieces tend to slide off of the book if it is not on a completely flat surface.

Love this!

My son enjoyed this a lot! He did every puzzle within a month and now challenges people to play games of chess. This really peaked his interest in the game.

Brain Fitness Solitaire Chess

We are loving this game! I do not know how to play chess but have always wanted to learn. I thought this would be a great way to teach myself and my daughter. We have only done 2 of the challenges so far, but we are already picking up on how the pieces move. This is a great way to memorize how the pieces move along the board.

Good way to review Chess moves

My son and myself have been learning Chess. I thought this would be another good exercise for that. My son really enjoys the logic games Timberdoodle has offered and he asked for this several times to review the moves he is learning. Keeps him busy while I work with his younger sister. Nice distraction.
