How to Draw Almost Everything: An Illustrated Sourcebook
For the teen or parent who feels timid when it comes to drawing, How to Draw Almost Everything will give you the confidence you need to draw over 2000 images! This gem of a book provides the beginner with warm-up practices and easy sketches to ease him into the process. Challenge drawings sprinkled throughout How to Draw Almost Everything will both develop skills and uncover just how much he has already mastered. With over 2,000 images, this visual reference book offers tips, step-by-step illustrations, and instructions for drawing animals, people, plants, food, everyday objects, buildings, vehicles, clothing, and more.

Note: There are a few drawings you may feel your child does not need to learn to replicate – for example, the sketches of underwear or of a Buddhist statue – but by and large we think you will find this to be an excellent resource for your family.

Lives up to its title!

My ten year old son has really taken to drawing this year and has pulled this out many times. He recently made a book of different animals in various habitats and biomes all inspired by this book. He exclaimed one day, “Mom, this book teaches you to draw almost everything!” I had to chuckle at that.

Good resource for a budding artist

I am impressed with the sheer number of drawings/doodles taught in this book! It also helps break down complicated pictures so that even the artistically challenged can feel confident. As was noted, the Christian parent will want to proof it first for undesired pics, but overall it is a great art resource!
