Channie's My First Letters
Because legible handwriting remains an essential skill necessary for communication, give your PreK student a valuable edge with My First Letters. This uncomplicated method of handwriting is based on repetition in the form of tracing. There are three pages of practice devoted to each letter. First, there are pages each for tracing the capital and lowercase letters. Then, after working to develop muscle memory for that letter, the third page is for practicing the letter without tracing. An instructional example starts each page, so there is no guessing as to how to form the letter.
There are pictures to color, and the same image is used for both the upper and lower case letters to solidify that even though they look different, they are the same letter. The pages are fall-out-easy to remove, nice and thick, easy to erase if necessary, and the spaces are very generous and wide. Also included is practice for numbers 1-9. 80 pages.

Love this! It's straightforward and I love the price point. Would purchase this for multiple kids without batting an eye!
Tons and tons of tracing. Great to reinforce how to form letters before the child has to construct them independently. Includes an image to color too which is fun.
This is a great way for me to introduce letter writing to my 4yo. Love it.
I purchased this for my 4-year-old so he would have something to do while his big brother was working in Easy Peasy Alphabet. He sometimes asks to do a page, but overall he seems to find it boring. I'm saving it for next year, because I think the issue may have more to do with his readiness than the product itself. I like the large size of the letters, and the option to color a picture on each page.
This has been a great learning tool for us in our home to help practice handwriting skills. Our little one loves to color the pictures on each page as she works on practicing her letters. We actually enjoyed the book so much we bought it again to use in Kindergarten. She wasn't quite ready to move up to Easy Peasy letters so we decided to repeat this book to perfect her letters first. It's going amazing!
