My kids are 4 and 6 and both enjoy learning to draw from this book. The steps are simple enough that my 4 year old is able to make something to be proud of! I used this as part of the ART requirement for our state.
Art is challenging for my cats, but this book gave them the confidence they needed to feel like a successful artist! They are only a few steps to make a really fun sketch. Good for all ages! Both of my kids love this book.
I am an acrylic painter myself, so art is like second nature to me. My boys didn't quite inherit this from me though lol.
I was gifted this book, and I am glad I didn't just stuff it away... I'm a firm believer in letting kids creative juices flow, but this book gives a good foundation on techniques and basic figures, so that the kids can build on the new skill they acquired with this lovely book! Their artworks have improved and they gained more confidence as well :) win win!
This book is perfect for multiple age ranges. My four year old is loving learning basic shapes and figures with this and my seven year old uses the simple instructions and then adds on to it! I love doodling along with them.
My daughter loves to draw she absolutely loves this book. Uses it all the time.
