Phonics Pathways 10th Edition
Phonics Pathways is logically laid out with virtually no teacher preparation involved. A multi-sensory approach means that all learning types can benefit from this book.
With a mere 10 to 15 minutes a day, usually one or two pages, your cJohn Wiley & Sonshild will be reading before you know it. Built-in reviews to aid retention include sentences that can be sounded out based entirely on the lessons previously taught, which eliminates guessing.
Phonics Pathways includes the phonics rules that other phonics-based programs do not. It also contains spelling rules in the lessons as well as quick-reference spelling and pronunciation charts. (It also has inane maxims on many pages that can be used as discussion starters or completely ignored.) This book is essential for all pre-readers and their parents.

I wish I liked this program. After finishing Teach Your Child to Read (and loving it) I was looking for a next step. This program feels all over the place to me and I’m a former reading teacher. I purchased it and considered looking into how to return it. The ease of use isn’t there for me and it seemed boring, even though it’s supposed to involve games. I’m not saying it doesn’t work, but for me this was a miss.
Not a fan of this book. I've kind of just wanted to shelve it. My son already reads pretty good so alot of it is review. He gets bored so easy with it. I also do not like the structure of the book. As a previous review stated, the pages are really busy.
I really like Phonics Pathways it is a fun way to teach. This book was just a refresher for my 6 year old because he had already learned all of this in public school kindergarten. I just started using it with my 5 year old and it is going great.
I think my first grader liked this one the least because of how long it took, but I thought the lessons were great! Really breaking down the English language, so she's not just memorizing sight words.
This has been such a fun book to use! I really see an improvement in how he is processing spelling out words on his own.
