More About the LUK Learning System:
miniLUK Brain Training
The miniLUK Brain Training series is similar to the Bambino Luk but is designed for an older child. Its controller board has twelve tiles in a high-quality plastic case with a transparent lid. These tiles are numbered from "1" to "12" and the activities are much more challenging. When children finish each exercise, they can check to see if the unique symmetric pattern on the back of the controller matches the one on the page.
Thinking Skills For Ages 6-8
The miniLUK Brain Training collections include workbook sets covering memorization, concentration, visual perception, logical thinking, linguistic skills, and basic arithmetic. For ages six to eight; produced by a secular company so some of the pages may not be suitable for your children.
The miniLUK Advanced Brain Challenger features complex brain challenges in a variety of workbooks. This series focuses on visual perception ability, higher order thinking skills, and spatial relationships. All exercises begin easy but steadily climb from basic to more advanced and grueling, which is just what this age group is looking for.
Please note: The miniLUK Starter Pack is required but not included in this set.

”This is really, really good... It is like a bit of extra OT in the home setting that is independent for the child.”Watch the Video Review
This is great for independent learning. My 6 year old will sit and complete multiple pages on her own and is able to check her own work when needed.
Honestly, with this product you just cannot go wrong. I am originally from the Netherlands, and this system (mini loco is the name over there) is used widely in primary schools. I remember it fondly, we used to love getting to work with these books and the tiles, and I was super excited to see it being offered here! The self correcting aspect is a great confidence booster for the kids, so they don't need to come and get corrections from you, and it's just super fun! And with the amount of books and subjects you can get with this system, you will surely use it for many years to come...Luckily the tiles are very durable, sturdy plastic with scratch resistant paint on it, can't go wrong!
This is a great set to add on to your MiniLUK. THis is a fun way for your child to practice and review their basic math facts! Two of the books have addition and subtraction with numbers up to 10, an easier book and a harder book, so you can start slow and work up. Then you have the geometry book. THis one feels much more like a game, yet it still is very much working your child's brain and helping them develop a good math foundation. Whether your child is struggling with math or they breeze right through it, this will work for them. It is at an early 1st grade level.
We have bought many things through Timberdoodle, but your thinking games are the best! Our current favorite is the new Mini Luk Brain Olympics. My first grader is doing this in our homeschool, but many of the activities have been fun for Dad and the teenagers in the family to do!
My little 5yo girl says this makes her brain works a lot. Find this effective but challenging program great for young children.
