Cat & Mouse
Welcome back to an old friend, and one of the first Smart Games invented over 20 years ago. Our five children grew up playing Cat and Mouse. It was a perennial favorite at homeschool conferences when that used to be a thing. So we were excited to bring this award-winning logic-based maze puzzle back into production, exclusively for Timberdoodle.
Build a Path with Maze Tiles
In Cat and Mouse, your child will choose a challenge and then make the right connections to build a path by arranging the sturdy plastic maze tiles to connect the images shown in the booklet. Cat and Mouse is different from most other Smart Games because the challenges have more than one solution, perfect for developing divergent thinking. Each challenge increases in difficulty with the more difficult challenges introducing your student to variable logic.
Forty-eight Multi-Level Challenges
There are 48 challenges with over 1,000 solutions ranging from easy to difficult. Everything stores inside the 7-1/2" game board for easy travel. Cat and Mouse develops logical thinking skills, strategic planning, and visual/spatial perception.

My 6 year old is liking this a lot. It's a lot more challenging for him than the other smart games he has done, so we will get some good mileage out of this throughout the year. Love the different challenge options!
My just turned 6 year old loves this game! We got it for the upcoming school year but he's already taken it out. He plays with it a few times a week. I like these kinds of games that really make the kids think!
I honestly did not think my 5-year-old daughter would enjoy this game. She has a tendency to avoid things that prove difficult for her, and I knew it would be a bit beyond her skill level. I am so glad she proved me wrong! Is this game challenging? Yes. Definitely. The most advanced challenges at the end of the book really stretch even my adult brain! But did my daughter grow frustrated with how difficult it was and give up? No! Somehow, this simple but challenging game has really captured and held her attention, helping build her confidence in sticking with difficult tasks! She can happily sit and work independently with a puzzle for quite some time, reworking the paths many times before getting it right, without growing frustrated or giving up! And the pure joy and pride she expresses when she finally gets to a solution is absolutely priceless. And that makes this game invaluable in our home!
Can't wait to try this out. We are adding this to our kindergarten curriculum as my son loved the farm one! Can't wait to take it out this fall.
My 5 year old enjoys this and I've even tried some of the more difficult challenges. He also likes a similar puzzle style game called rush hour. If your kid enjoys that they will also likely enjoy this!
