Now you can expose your tiny students to a super-fun, mess-free way to color using a unique paint applicator. The easy-grip Spot-the-Dot Markers have a hard plastic shell, so aggressive artists can’t squeeze out a puddle of paint. Spot-the-Dot Markers allow your child to be creative even when his fine motor skills are still developing. They do not require precise, small hand movements to be successful. Instead, their large, chunky size improves control, dexterity, muscle strength, and the thumb-and-finger hold, which is critical for young children to use a pencil or fork.
Washable Spot-the-Dot Markers, with their rich, vibrant colors, are a neat, easy way to dabble in the world of artistic expression - just take off the cap and create! Spot-the-Dot Markers includes six markers in a bright array of colors.
Manufacturer Age Recommendation: 18 months+
I got these for my two year old, as the recommended age is 18 months and up, and they turned out to be messier than I thought. So first, he was having trouble keeping the tubes straight. He wants to hold it like a pencil so it slants and he can't get the ink to come out, and when he does get it perpendicular to the paper, a lot comes out so the paint is wet and he ends up getting it all over his arms, hands and clothes. My 4 year old on the other hand is able to hold them up straight and not do it so hard so the ink isn't as wet and she can keep her hands and arms off of the paint until it dries. My 2yo son ended up enjoying the kwik stix that come in the preschool curriculum kit much better because they can be slanted and he can still get the color on the page. He still gets a little on his wrist and arms, but it dries almost right away on the page so the kwik stix are much less messy! 4yo does really enjoy this product so I think the recommended age is just a bit off.
