Visual perception provides the foundation for learning to read, to write, and to do math. Through playing exercises in these workbooks, children learn to recognize and distinguish different colors, shapes, sizes, and positions. Good observation, sorting, and categorizing abilities are also greatly enhanced by these activities.
There are 22 puzzles with a total of 264 illustrations and 132 exercises in this 2-workbook set!
More About the LUK Learning System:
Hands-On Thinking Skills Program
Young children are almost always hands-on learners. That is why your child picks up and touches everything. It may look destructive, but it is how God has programmed him to learn. And because at this age your child will learn more easily using this preferred learning style, we recommend adding a hands-on thinking program to any written curriculum, to add balance and success.
Comprehensive Program for Ages 3-5
For this age group, the most comprehensive program is the bambinoLUK. The LUK learning system has been used in over fifty countries for more than forty years. Intended to maximize children's learning, bambinoLUK contains one easy-to-operate controller with six tiles housed in a transparent case, and a number of different workbook sets targeting memorization, concentration, visual perception, logical thinking, linguistic skills, and basic arithmetic.
The six large and sturdy tiles have a familiar picture symbol on one side and a colorful dotted pattern on the back. The decision to use symbols instead of numbers allows even very young children to play. When your child finishes the exercises in one of the books, he closes the lid and flips the controller. The colorful dotted pattern on the back will let him know if his answers were right.
Also Builds Fine Motor Skills
Because this program requires the repeated handling of tiles, your child's fine motor skills are strengthened and his eye-hand and brain coordination are greatly enhanced. For ages three to five, produced by a secular company, so some of the pages may not be suitable for your children.
Set For Ages 2-5 and Special Needs
In bambinoLUK Primary Set, formerly known as Special bambinoLUK, the pace is even gentler than the classic bambinoLUK, allowing both toddlers and older children with special needs immediate success.
Please note: The bambinoLUK Starter Pack is required but not included in this set.

How to Use bambino:
Easy enough for my 2 year old to get into and tough enough to challenge my 4 year old. These were a hit.
What a great set of books for my 3 year old son. He has been able to do them with help since he was 2. The pictures are easily recognizable and puzzles are easy enough for a young one to figure out. With this being the case, the BambinoLUK itself is so much fun to use, with all of the tiles and squares, it is still fun for the olders. (I have a 9 year old that finds it fun to do with her little brother) We use this while older sister is doing her schoolwork. I have a very busy boy that doesn't enjoy much sit still time at ALL but will sit for this. I can actually get about 20 minutes out of him, which for me, is a blessing. He enjoys putting the tiles in the squares and flipping it over. He always giggles and thinks it's the best thing when all of the dots on the other side match up.
My five year old son is somewhat developmentally delayed and this product is perfect for him. He gets to practice thinking skills as well as manual dexterity. Love it!
I had been looking for something for my 4 year old to do while I was busy with my other children during homeschooling . He was so excited to be "doing school" just like his older brother and sisters. He has enjoyed this program immensely and wants to do it over and over again. The hands on aspect is just what he needed at this point. I love it! I recommend it to everyone with small children, and I am looking forward to using more of this product.
This is my 3 yo's "school" while I help my older son. She can do it all herself and loves it. She is not challenged by the activities though. It does not seem to bother her. I need to get more books!! Keeps her busy for quite awhile.
