Fischertechnik Advanced Universal 4 with Engineer
From the company that has become world-renowned for its engineering components comes the new entry-level construction kit, Fischertechnik Advanced Universal 4. If your family is looking for a hands-on way to introduce your child to an overview of mechanical construction, then here it is. The 40 models - including vehicles with steering, transport helicopter, and airplane merry-go-round - are among the most realistic we have seen.

Unlike familiar construction toys, these models stay together until you take them apart. Indeed, with nearly 500 colorful, injection-molded pieces in Fischertechnik Advanced Universal 4, your child can continue to create their own innovations and bring them to life with the included belt drives, crank handles, cable winches, and gears. The wordless step-by-step manual means that even reluctant readers will not miss out. Includes the rare Fischertechnik action figure.

About Fischertechnik
For years Fischertechnik manufactured world-renowned components intended for engineering companies who built prototypes of factory installations. Those tabletop factory replicas realistically and cost-effectively allowed the engineers to plan, program, develop, and test industrial controls; debug designs; and even train personnel who would operate the new equipment. Because such tasks demanded precision, the Fischertechnik parts were fabricated with quality and realism in mind. Then at Christmas in 1964, using an assortment of the same components, Fischertechnik presented child-friendly modeling kits to engineers and industrial clients. The gifts were so popular that in 1965, Fischertechnik introduced its first building set in Germany.

Over the years, institutions that promote pre-engineering courses for middle and high-school students have used Fischertechnik components in 1,300 schools across the states. Equally valuable in a homeschool curriculum, Fischertechnik allows children to learn technology using the most realistic parts currently available. Highly regarded by engineers, the ready-to-assemble, compact training models mimic real-life applications and are suitable for education, training, and industry. Engineered to scientific precision and manufactured using high-strength nylon, plastic, and steel, the unique design of these components results in the most durable and reliable connections.

The versatile Fischertechnik basic building block is the basis for all Fischertechnik construction sets. This block's channel-and-groove design allows your engineer to add parts and build on all six sides. And all Fischertechnik construction kits are compatible. Comprehensive, easy-to-understand assembly instructions are included in every construction set. Fischertechnik kits teach basic technical knowledge and promote spatial thinking abilities, logical thinking skills, imagination, and creativity.

Looks amazing

What a neat way to get them in the engineering mindset. There are so many options. Definitely some thing that they can grow with.

Very fun

My boys love this set! It's nice to build something they can play with and not have it constantly falling apart.

High quality

Amazing quality. So many possibilities. Definitely a bit complicated and very detailed for a 7 year old. My son needed help finding specific pieces...but he also wasn’t huge on legos like his younger brother. I feel his younger brother will probably have an easier time with this when he’s 7.

Challenging but worth it

This is my first experience with Fischertechnik, but I am happy to have found them. My son just turned 7 so these are above his ability to do alone, but he absolutely loves them. Once together, they are a solid build and are fun to play with.

A lot of fun

Fun to build and fun to play
