Stretch, Shape, & Stir Up Creativity

Welcome to Timberdoodle's Thinking Putty collection! Thinking Putty is an enhanced version of Silly Putty, with vibrant colors that shift or morph as you squeeze. This non-toxic, silicone-based putty bounces, stretches, tears, snaps, and even shatters without ever drying out. Heat-sensitive versions change color with warmth, while swirled colors stay distinct, no matter how often they’re kneaded. Each tin contains a generous amount, enough for multiple users, and provides hours of hands-on fun and stress relief. It’s perfect for children, office workers, guitar players, and anyone in need of a soothing, sensory experience.

Originally developed during World War II as a rubber substitute, Thinking Putty has evolved into a popular sensory tool and toy. Its origins trace back to Dr. Earl Warrick’s experiments with silicone chemistry at the Mellon Institute, eventually leading to the creation of a bouncing putty that, while not suitable for industrial use, became a favorite toy. Each tin of Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty offers high-quality, moldable fun that can be enjoyed by all ages.
