Babies love to look at faces, and that is a good thing for their development. With a mirror you can boost your baby’s eye-hand coordination, language, listening, and imitation skills. The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio says that there is not a better-quality safety mirror for babies than the Wimmer-Ferguson Baby Mirror, and we are in agreement.
The Wimmer-Ferguson Baby Mirror is much more distortion-free than typical toy mirrors. Plus, on the reverse of the mirror are visually stimulating black and white graphics for your baby to gaze at.
Baby-safe and shatter-proof, it measures 14” x 10”, with ribbon ties for easy attachment to cribs, car seats, and changing tables.

This was one of my few disappointing purchases from Timberdoodle. I really wanted a mirror for my "Tiny Tot", and this one seemed so pricey. But I loved that it was marketed as shatter resistant and won awards so I splurged. Not our luck - my daughter broke it pretty fast. However, I do have to say the Timberdoodle team was outstanding about it, and everything worked out, so don't be afraid to take a risk if you love it, I suppose. It also broke very cleanly in two pieces with not very sharp edges, so maybe that's what SHATTER resistant means. I would try this again with a young baby, if the price was less, but anything nearing a stronger toddler might not be your best bet.
