This program is designed for the child who is ready to learn to read this year. Of course, most kindergartners are eager hands-on learners too, so we've included the very best hands-on tools available to be sure you both enjoy this year! With creative art, systematic thinking skills, robust STEM construction, and astonishing science experiments, this year will be a year packed with happy memories for both of you!
We asked parents who used our Kindergarten Kit how long their student spent on "school." They estimated that they spent an average of 1-3 hours a day on their kit, on 4-5 days a week. You’ll be able to plan yours to work best for you with your access to the online Timberdoodle Scheduler, included with your kit. Make sure you allow yourself and your child some time to find your own rhythm!

First time homeschooler and I got the elite kit, so happy we went with it! Everything we need. Only thing I’d change is next year I’ll customize my kit and take a few things out that I’ve found we don’t use much.
This curriculum is awesome. My 4 year old is a hands on learner and is soaking this information up like a sponge. I love that it has all of the basic school classes along with think play games. Before we started this curriculum my son knew his ABCs and could read some bob books. He also could identify numbers and count to 10. In just 4 weeks my son has learned to write and spell words by sounding them out, knows the three states of matter, and can count to 50. My son wakes up and asks to do school almost every day. I do supplement with skill sharpeners math grade 1 and reading with Bob books. I do wish that there was a better way for me to log what he has completed.
After making the tough choice to pull them out of their charter school, it was so nice to be able to find a curriculum that is easy to follow for parents and engaging for kids. Homeschooling was not our original plan, so it was important to me to find a curriculum that came with a weekly schedule and everything we needed for every subject. I compared several other curriculums but ultimately kept coming back to Timberdoodle for its hands-on approach and exciting materials.
My kids absolutely love the Timberdoodle curriculum, and I love how it makes me feel like I CAN teach my kids without feeling overwhelmed. We have both First Grade and Kindergarten, and we've been able to use elements from both to bring our kids up to speed. Yes, it is an investment, but the amount of materials you get and the well thought out handbook is SO worth it. We have enough items for the school year AND summer.
We're definitely sticking with Timberdoodle for as long as we homeschool.
My 5 year old has had the absolute best time with her kit. It is so engaging and exciting that she and her sibling both beg to do their school work first. I am beyond thrilled with Timber Doodle. Also, if you ever have any questions they respond quickly with great advice.
Trying to piece together curriculum on my own was not working and I felt like giving up on homeschooling before we had begun, which was not an option. By chance, we heard about Timberdoodle from a friend of a friend and couldn't be more grateful. We are just starting our second week with the elite kit. So far, we absolutely love it and wouldn't change a thing. I love that everything is clearly laid out for me and my daughter loves all of her schoolwork. In the short time that we have been schooling, her reading is really taking off, and the whole family has enjoyed the games and stem portions. I cannot recommend this enough!
