Color My Bath
Many science experiments are enhanced by the use of colored water. Color My Bath's tablets are completely safe, non-staining, and are the easiest way to add striking color to water.
American-made for children and with no added oils, fragrances, or soap, Color My Bath's tablets will delight your child with fizzy action and a dazzling burst of color. Includes 300 small and large tablets in red, yellow, and blue. These primary colors allow kids to have fun (and learn) by mixing the primaries to create an unlimited rainbow of secondary colors.
We recommend Color My Bath for use only in science experiments, not for bathing. The manufacturer strongly reassures us that it is also safe for bathing in, and they have a solid 20-year history to back them up. However, some families with immune-compromised children may be concerned about the mineral oil used to hold each tablet together, although it is high-grade and of a very small amount. As for the dyes themselves, you’ll be glad to know that they are either food-grade or cosmetic-grade (cosmetic-grade dyes can be used even in slightly-ingested products such as lipstick and toothpaste).

We love these in combination with the science kit! They are so much fun! I have been cutting up the biggest pellet into 4 little pieces to make them last longer and that's worked great. So much fun and a great visual to see what happens when you mix 2 colors together. We also colored water and then added baking soda to it with some vinegar to make colored fizz (or volcanoes). So fun!
We LOVE these!!! And yes we use them in the bath! He is really learning about color mixing with these!
These are great to use with the little science lab and make learning about how colors mix so much fun. I love that it includes different sized pellets so that you can use the bigger ones for bath time and the smaller ones for the science lab.
These helped my son learn about color. He still loves to play with them in the bathtub.
This is one of my favorite items to discover with Timberdoodle. I bought these 2 years ago and we have since bought a refill. We've also given them as birthday gifts to the kids' friends. My kids love these in the bath as well as with their science kit. One of my favorite experiments to teach them is to put different temperatures of water in different test tubes and have them guess which temperature dissolves the fastest, further expanded with my number loving kindergartner by using a instant read thermometer and talking about the speed of tiny particles. And of course, color mixing is a must, and great for outdoor water play on a hot day.
