The Student Activity Workbook is where the Opal program really clicks. It mirrors the Student Reader story by story, layering in vocabulary exercises, comprehension questions, and writing prompts that reinforce every literary element your child just encountered in the text. It's not busywork — each page is designed to deepen what they read, not just check a box.

At the Opal level (third grade), your student will also find puzzles and games woven throughout — a nice change of pace that keeps things moving without losing the substance. As kids work their way up through higher Mosdos levels, the workbook gradually shifts toward more writing-intensive work, so the skills build naturally over time.

Each workbook is consumable, clear, and completely cohesive with the Reader. You won't need to create your own follow-up activities or hunt for supplementary comprehension practice — it's all here, ready to go.
