Originally published in the Netherlands, Welcome Home, Beaver! is the story of Beaver leaving his family in search of adventure but ending up unable to find his way home. Akita, the dog, swoops down in his hot air balloon to rescue Beaver, and they set off to find Beaver's home. But what does Beaver's home look like? Does he live in a shell, in a tower of earth, or a house made of grass? They travel the world and soon find their way back to Beaver's home.
Welcome Home, Beaver! takes you on tour around the globe visiting all kinds of fascinating animal houses. We suspect your children will have great fun poring over the tiny, sometimes complex, details incorporated into the colorful illustrations that fill every spread. The antics of the anthropomorphic animals are hilarious. A map showing the locations of each animal's habitat and a brief description is given at the back of the book.
