Going to level up next year

We had a fun time learning English grammar together. There was a lot of useful information for both parent and student and I did enjoy how the book was put together.

I found it a little cumbersome to teach. I didn't care for the way the book was laid out. We always had to make sure to cover the page since they put the answer page right next to the worksheet.

I absolutely love this grammar curriculum. It is very straightforward and easy for the student. I love how it goes back and builds upon itself year after year.

The first week or so it was a little hard to get the hang of it. Different from other grammar books we have used. Now it is very easy and he really seems to understand concepts that have been a struggle in the past.

I love this book. My son not so much. Only because he is not a grammar kind of guy. But this is a great book that helps him memorize rules. You learn a rule and then they add another, and then reinforce the first rule and so on.

The subject matter is not presented in a very interesting way but the lessons are short so it is easy to read the material and complete 2-3 worksheets per day.

My daughter was really struggling with grammar with other books that we have tried. A few lessons into Easy Grammar, and she has gained so much confidence back, and I can see that she is really understanding the material now! The lessons are easy to follow, and my daughter really enjoys them.

I have mixed feeling about this. The good... It is a complete, complete, complete book for teaching grammar (I think that it may be missing diagramming but who needs to be able to do that?) There is tons and tons of practice to be sure he is getting it. The bad is it is not independent learning (at least for us). If he misses or skims part of the instructions he will do a handful of pages incorrectly before I have the chance to help him. This leads to frustration, tears and redoing work. So now I have to sit next to him as he does his work on the page and out loud to make sure we stay on track. Not super ideal if you are working with two other kiddos at the same time.
