Exploring Creation with General Science Bundle, 2nd Edition
This bundle includes everything you'll need to teach Exploring Creation with General Science, 2nd Edition, including the Student Notebook, which is not required, but will really help bring the subject matter home for your student, make teaching it so much easier, and will be an excellent addition to your science curriculum.

A Systematic Introduction to the Sciences
Exploring Creation with General Science is designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences. Although it can be used for eighth grade (especially if the student has recently left the public schools), it is typically used best in the seventh grade. The course covers such topics as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. Its scope, therefore, is quite wide. There are many hands-on experiments to do, and they all use household items. The Solutions and Tests Manual and consumable test packet are also included.

Apologia: Setting the Standard
Without a doubt, Apologia has been setting standards for science textbooks for years. If you have ever doubted the thoroughness of a science text, one glance at these large textbooks will allay all fears! If your child thrives on detailed explanations and lots of information, Apologia is a great place to start.

Written For Christian Homeschoolers
The full-color illustrations and written-for-homeschoolers text have immediate appeal. Upon closer look, the Christian worldview provides a solid foundation. I believe that a scientist who grasps the God of creation will have a tremendous head start as he moves onward into research and development, treating patients, or further study.

A Word Of Warning
These books are not for every student. They are massive, detailed and require a fair amount of math. A student who does not yet excel at math or will be overwhelmed by the textbook format may lose their zeal for science if forced to proceed down this track. Instead, we suggest looking at the Paradigm Curriculum for a gentler approach that will feed their interest without overwhelming them.

Apologia Is Perfect For…
…the student who loves science and isn't scared by math. He or she may want to pursue a career in the field, proceed to college, or simply satisfy their thirst for knowledge. Many homeschool families have found these to be a cornerstone of their student's higher education and we are sure you'll find them a worthy investment.

Full-Course CD-Rom Also Available
There is a Full-Course CD-Rom (sold separately) also available. This version of the course has all of the information found in the print version, PLUS multimedia add-ons such as animations, videos (which do not replace lab experiments), narrations, and audio pronunciation guides. The student reads the text from the screen and follows links to multimedia enhancements. The program runs in Internet Explorer, which is included on the CD.

There is no Math prerequisite for this course.

The Student Notebook Develops Critical Study Skills
Your junior high students will fill in the notebook by answering questions from the textbook, writing lab notes, summarizing what they've learned, creating diagrams, and more, helping them develop the independent study skills they'll need for learning and enjoying science in high school, the college years, and beyond. Using the General Science Student Notebook as a companion to Exploring Creation with General Science, 2nd Edition, will reinforce and deepen your student's understanding of the text as he explores the workings of God's creation.

A Useful Supplemental Resource
With features such as the very helpful year-long daily schedule, lab reports for the experiments, optional fill-in-the-blank summaries for extra practice, study guides, and so much more, you will find the General Science Student Notebook to be an excellent addition to your science curriculum this year.
