Famous Figures of the American Revolution
In government schools, history tends to be a read-only subject. Thankfully, however, your home-schooled children have options. If you have a child who dreads reading but loves art and drama, the Famous Figures series is the perfect history supplement for her.

Each meticulous Famous Figures of the American Revolution illustration is based on authentic paintings and sculptures. Easy-to-assemble colored characters are printed on heavy cardstock with perforated pages for trouble-free removal. Cut out the figures, punch holes where directed, attach some common fasteners, and your Famous Figures of the American Revolution are ready to take center stage as your child reenacts momentous events in American history.

If your student is an avid artist, she will be pleased to discover that a colorable version of each figure is also included on the same sturdy cardstock. Fill in each Famous Figure of the American Revolution to be as realistic or exotic as you wish.

Famous Figures of the American Revolution includes figures of Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross, Thomas Jefferson, Paul Revere, Patrick Henry, Molly Pitcher, George Washington, John Adams, Daniel Boone, and a soldier of the Continental Army. A detailed biography section provides key information about the revolutionary characters. A companion reading list for each figure is included for parent/teacher read-alouds and independent readers.

Includes the following ten historic figures in full-color and black and white:
  • Benjamin Franklin
  • Betsy Ross

Famous Figures of the American Revolution

This is a fun addition to the SOTW curriculum.

Famous Figures of the American Revolution

My son is anxiously awaiting the start of American History so that he can add some more of these figures to his collection. They are one of his favorite parts of history. He has kept all of the ones he has already done and plays with them, creating his own stories. He isn't a very crafty child so I love that these get him cutting and putting things together!

Famous Figures of the American Revolution

I am still surprised at how much my children enjoy the Famous Figures. They even keep them after the year is over and get them out occasionally. They're reviewing history and don't realize it.

Famous Figures of the American Revolution

Fun way to learn important historical figures.

    We recently received our Famous

We recently received our Famous Figures of the American Revolution. While I cannot speak so much to the sturdiness or ease of assembly of them (for we have not yet begun to put them together), I can say that I am pleased with the overall appearance of the figures. We plan to use the book along with our America the Beautiful History Curriculum. I think this will be a great extension to our history and will bring the characters more to life. The main reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the disappointed my daughter had with the lack of female figures.
