Everyone in Grizzly Gears is trying to find the way home. Whether it's a baby bear searching for Mother Bear, a camper heading back to her tent, or a lumberjack returning to camp, each challenge begins with a character who needs help navigating the forest.
Using a game board filled with rotating tree disks, players must create a path from the starting point to the destination. The catch? Moving through the forest requires rotating the tree disks, which changes the pathways and often shifts the position of the characters as well.
Each of the 80 challenges starts with a specific setup. Players must carefully rotate the disks to guide the featured character home while avoiding obstacles along the way. In some puzzles, Mother Bear adds an extra layer of difficulty—only Baby Bear can safely cross her path.
As challenges increase in difficulty, players strengthen planning, spatial reasoning, concentration, flexible thinking, and problem-solving skills. Success often depends on thinking several moves ahead and recognizing how one rotation can affect the entire board.
The sturdy game board and rotating pieces create a puzzle experience that feels different from traditional logic games, rewarding experimentation, persistence, and careful observation.
With 80 challenges ranging from beginner to expert, Grizzly Gears offers a unique forest-themed adventure that keeps players turning, planning, and puzzling their way home.

We love Smart Games, but this one won't be at the top of our list. Each problem needs 9 gears set up in a different configuration, which is a lot, as there are two different gear shapes and 9 locations. There are also 6 movable figures that change between levels, so there's a lot of setup. I'm sure this is why this game is recommended for older kids. Once set up, the gameplay is a fun mental challenge, but the movement of the gears is not very smooth. I'm hoping that over time, the edges will wear down a bit making the play more smooth.

Fun game
Bina
I like this strategy game a lot and it’s great for when we are on the go. The challenges aren’t too bad but when they are tricky, it’s nice the answers are right in the back for me to give me kiddos the first step.

Great Gift

Gave this to my son for his tenth birthday who enjoys logic puzzles--his older siblings enjoy playing it, too. Great to take along to piano lessons for something to do while the kids wait for their siblings to have their lessons.

This has been a great little game to break of the monotony of our school day. Some of the challenges are pretty challenging and we put our heads together to figure them out.
