Hugimals + Hug Baby

Hugimals + Hug Baby

One for the big hugs. One for the road. Hugimals + Hug Baby pairs a full-size, 4.5-pound weighted Hugimal with its miniature Hug Baby companion, giving your child comforting weight when he's at home and a little familiar friend he can take almost anywhere.

The full-size Hugimal combines the softness of a favorite stuffed animal with gentle, evenly distributed weight. Developed with input from therapists and medical professionals, each Hugimal carries weight throughout the head, body, arms, and legs rather than concentrating it in one spot. Hug it close, rest it on your lap while reading or doing schoolwork, or reach for it when it's time to settle down.

Then there's Baby.

Hug Baby is a miniature, unweighted companion designed to tag along when a 4.5-pound stuffed animal isn't terribly practical. At just 4" tall, Baby stretches its little arms 11.5" wide and snaps them together around a wrist, backpack strap, water bottle, clothing, or other handy spot. Instead of providing weighted pressure, Baby quite literally hangs on and gives your child a tiny hug wherever he goes.

That makes the pair especially useful for transitions. The full-size Hugimal can have a regular spot at home for reading, quiet time, schoolwork, or winding down, while Baby can head out the door for co-op, appointments, trips, or other adventures. Your child doesn't have to haul his weighted friend everywhere to bring along a familiar little companion.

The full-size Hugimal's removable weighted insert contains non-toxic glass beads, so the outer plush shell can be machine-washed when needed. Its soft fabric, neutral expression, and simple design keep the emphasis on the comforting sensory experience rather than lights, sounds, or other distractions.

And although Hug Baby looks like a miniature Hugimal, there's one important distinction: Hug Baby is not weighted. The full-size Hugimal provides the substantial, evenly distributed weight; Baby is the portable companion of the pair.

Together, they're a clever little team: a substantial 4.5-pound hug when your child wants the weight, and a tiny Hug Baby ready to hang on when it's time to go.
