Jump In Student
By the time your child hits middle school you will be glad to find an easy-to-use creative writing program that is aimed at independent learning. Jump In’s illustrated workbook, lots of white space, large font, and short incremental daily assignments camouflage the workhorse that it is, teaching your child how to write persuasive papers, expository essays, descriptions, narration, and poetry.
Note: To build persuasive writing skills, Jump In encourages your child to write about any controversial topic of their choosing. Two suggested topics, among many others, are abortion and homosexual marriages. We feel that in most families this will be age-appropriate, and that Jump In, written from a Christian perspective, will not be offensive to you. However, if you have never discussed these issues with your child, you will want to be aware of their inclusion in Jump In.
