Kumon Cutting Skills - 2-Book Set
Learning to safely use a pair of scissors universally seems to bring extraordinary joy to young children. In Kumon’s two-book Let's Cut Paper series your child will learn how to hold and control scissors, and will proceed from the simple one-stroke cuts of a dog’s whiskers to the more complicated curved humps on a camel’s back and the spiral of a chameleon's tail. Many pages offer helpful tips for the parents and all are sturdy enough to manage, but not so thick as to be difficult to cut.

I love incorporating these into our lessons. My 3 year old loves these. Shes learning great scissor control and where to place her hands while cutting. She has so much fun it's hard to get her to stop and save some pages for another day. Great scissor practice.
I was surprised that my son had no cutting skills after attending a preschool for over 2 years, so I added these to his kindergarten kit. It is genius and had him cutting well in no time! I made sure to start this with my daughter at 3 and she’s adores these books. The pages are printed on a smooth and glossy stock that’s easy to hold and cut. The activities and illustrations are wonderful!
These are a fun way to teach cutting skills. Hacking at a paper is fun too, but there is less motivation to be accurate or cut in long lines. My 2 year old is motivated by stories and I can always make up a story with the pictures because they are so detailed and interesting.
I love these and so do my kids! They are colorful, fun, and developmentally on point. I can get each of my girls one or 2 while I’m prepping for the next thing we are doing. This has saved me so much time. I don’t have to go searching for things for them to cut. Super handy. Great price.
My mom got one of these for my daughter and she liked it so much that I bought her two more. She loved working with her own pair of scissors and I loved the creativity of the cutting designs. The certificate of completion at the end is a fun idea too! These also make a great gift. Thanks, Kumon!
