Spongy-textured Air Dough is easy to manipulate, so Making Animals is especially suitable for kids. Your child will create adorable clay animals using only three basic shapes and step-by-step instructions. The hundreds of helpful photos and illustrations are child-friendly and include information on using household items to add texture. Air Dough is lightweight, unscented, nontoxic, and gluten-free. Once you’ve made your animal, leave it out on a flat surface to dry overnight. Afterward, you can embellish your creatures with paint or markers.

Directions for just over 40 models are included. We suggest having your child complete one a week for as long as his stash of dough holds out. Just how many he can make depends greatly on his ability to store unused portions without letting them dry out and how small he makes his models. We’d expect him to be able to make about 20 small models based on our crew’s trials here.
