Non-Religious 2019 Third-Grade Curriculum Kit
This year you will love helping your child continue building his language, math, and thinking skills. He will study the five core science disciplines, learn about early modern times, and practice his keyboarding skills. With creative art, robust STEM kits, and more hands-on materials that develop spatial reasoning and creative thinking, this year will be a year packed with happy memories for both of you!
We asked parents who used our Third-Grade Kit how long their student spent on "school." Many of them estimated that they spent 2-4 hours a day on their kit. That variation is likely to be impacted by how in-depth you take your child's studies, what your child's learning approach is, how distractible he is, and much more. You’ll be able to plan yours to work best for you with your access to the online Timberdoodle Scheduler, included with your kit. Make sure you allow yourself and your child some time to find your own rhythm!

I have tried other curriculum's for our Autistic child and they just did not work out for him, to hard, to much, to long, not enough hands on to satisfy his sensory issues. I researched this curriculum and I jumped right in! It looked like what we had been searching for and it was and then some! My son LOVES it, he is learning things he enjoys to learn and loves the extra hands on activities. He enjoyed putting together the 3d globe and was so proud of himself. The history read along dvds helped out so much since our child deals with dyslexia as well and he could enjoy the stories so much more! The math has hands on items to help with his counting and also has instructional dvds just like he was in a class setting. I teach him and if he struggles I pop the dvd in and it helps teach him what I missed, between the 2 he gets it. Timberdoodle is wonderful for all kids and a blessing for our child on the spectrum, you will not be disappointed, I know we are sticking with them!
The curriculum is so engaging and fun! It's a perfect balance of book work and hands on learning. My daughter loves it!
My daughter loves the extreme dot to dot, and I continue to love Story of the World and the Spelling-U-See. I like the idea of the Mosdos Literature books, but it just did not work for us. Perhaps a Literature guide to help parents guide their students through Literature ideas (setting, characters, plot, foreshadowing, theme, etc...) that they would prepare to use with reading their child is interested in.
My daughter was happy that the kit included The Story of the World as it is her favorite. She feels there should be more art included.
I love EVERYTHING, my 8 year old has loved the challenges this year and looks forward to what he will be learning each day...especially math!
