Pixel Mosaics
At the end of the 19th century, painters used a technique called pointillism, a technique in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. With Pixel Mosaics, paints and brushes are replaced with pegs, and the end result is stunning.

Choose from dozens of different images of animals, great works of art, landmarks, landscapes, famous people, even Star Wars celebrities, and print the pattern cards. With just 6 different colors, your child’s Pixel Mosaics creation, when viewed from a distance, will look like it was made of thousands of colors and tones. Makes an elegant wall hanging for your living room, or a fun decoration for his bedroom.

And when you want a change, just dump the pegs back into the box, choose another Pixel Mosaics template and create something new. Pixel Mosaics includes 4 connectable peg boards; 6,800 pegs; and 1 picture frame.

”I have to admit, this project was more involved than I realized, but super clever and fun for my little guy.”

Perfect for your Detail Oriented Kid!

My son loves detail work and struggles a bit with fine motor skills. He adores this product and the fact that he can personalize the art. It was a great reward for finishing a school day!

Very cool, takes a lot of time

I really do love this and I think it is great for several skills my kid’s need improvement on. I actually think I might take a crack at it. It does take a LONG time. My 11-year-old worked on it for two days and only finished two of four panels (he did get faster as he went along.). He enjoyed it, though. The other thing I didn’t realize was how difficult it was going to be to find pictures that we’d have the right pixels for, though this is clearly noted in the item description and would not deter me from buying it. I just would have tried pictures more than five minutes before I needed them, haha! Great product over all.

Good Project

This is a good project not only for free creative art-time/play, but also for an older child to make something truly stunning (via the templates)!

Independent Art Time

My 10-year-old LOVES this and asks me to print photos twice a week! This supplements our Art curriculum, but this has been his FAVORITE part of Art so far this year. I love that the manufacturer gives photos for us to download and use.

It turned out great.

This came with our sons 6th grade curriculum. At first he didn’t want to do it but after I told him he could do a dinosaur, he was all for it. We are pleased the way it turned out.
