Plus-Plus Big: Learn and Explore (with wheels)
Plus-Plus BIG Learn and Explore is a hands-on building set designed to help preschoolers develop creativity, fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and early engineering skills. With 90 oversized Plus-Plus BIG pieces, a sturdy baseplate, wheels, and a Learn to Build guidebook, this set gives young children plenty of opportunities to build, experiment, and create.
Unlike many construction toys, Plus-Plus BIG pieces can be used to create both flat mosaics and three-dimensional models. Children may start with simple designs, but before long, they're building animals, vehicles, flowers, and imaginative creations of their own.
The included Learn to Build guidebook features 12 beginner-friendly projects and life-sized building guides. Young builders can place pieces directly on the illustrations as they learn how the unique Plus-Plus shape works. Because color matching isn't required, children can easily substitute colors and focus on the building process rather than finding exact pieces.
The large pieces are easy for small hands to grasp and connect, making the set approachable for preschoolers while still providing a satisfying building experience. The addition of wheels expands the building possibilities even further, allowing children to create rolling vehicles and moving creations.
Made from BPA-, PVC-, and phthalate-free plastic, Plus-Plus BIG Learn and Explore encourages open-ended play while strengthening problem-solving skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and perseverance. Many children begin by following the guidebook models, but quickly discover that inventing their own creations is just as rewarding.

I am blown away by this! As someone who is admittedly not at all creative, I am having a lot of fun building with my 3.5 year old. She is building on her own beside me and even my 11 month old can pretty safely hold and explore these larger pieces. A nice, fun alternative to the standard types of “building toys” you may get for birthday or holiday celebrations.

Great family activity
Danielle D.
Our family loves the Plus-Plus Big kit. We like that the pieces are chunky for tiny hands and that it comes with a handbook for creation ideas. The whole family has played with these, parents included!

Proud to be Danish—awesome product
Karolyn B.
This STEM resource ends up being a toy for my 1st grader but I couldn’t be more happy that she is learning while playing. Blocks get easier to remove as you play so that helps with little fingers. The wheels are so neat with clear instructions. My heritage is part Danish and I love to see more quality products coming out of my great-grandparents home country.

Great In Theory

We have tried to love Plus-Plus and though we still include it for a hands on activity, it's just not a favorite. One of my kids really wants to be able to make what is in the handbook, but the instructions aren't always clear and ultimately the things that get built fall apart very easily. The way that the pieces go together is really odd, and we just don't find as much enjoyment in these as I had hoped. For age reference we use these for 1st and Pre-K level.

So many builds

We have built so many things with these! Great for all ages. It’s been a great learning tool but also just fun times.

Another big hit in the STEM department

I'll admit, I wasn't sure about Plus Plus but I am now a believer. This kit has so many uses! You can use it for counting, color sorting and it's just wonderful for practicing fine motor skills. The instruction book is simple and easy to use, my son has great fun following along and putting together his little masterpieces. I also like that the pieces are not tiny and therefore not easily lost, but also light weight so you won't recieve permanent brain damage if they get chucked at your head by an over enthusiastic toddler (don't ask how I know this). And similar to the magnet tiles and ThinkPlay in this kit, people of all ages have fun using their imaginations to go outside the instruction book and build their own projects.

so fun

We love these so much that we keep them out for all the kiddos to use, including our 10 year old. They're relaxing to build with and make all sorts of creations. We really like how they're made from recyclable materials.

One of the best for littles!
Sara W.
We have a 6, 4 and 1 year old that enjoy using these together. Can build so many fun things. These are more popular in our house than legos. We now have 2 sets from Timberdoodle of the large ones.

We like Plus-Plus Big
Maria P.
Plus-Plus Big is just the right size for little hands to build with, and is providing hours of engaging fun. This set has a good amount of pieces, and the extra base plates and wheels are nice to have for building cars. Our wheels don't spin on hard floors, but they do slide fine, and they will roll on a sticky yoga mat. The included booklet is pretty minimal, but the designs and ideas in the Preschool Handbook are excellent. I plan to buy an additional set for more pieces and the Plus-Plus Big Picture Puzzle cards. The only downside is that I sometimes struggle to disassemble the more elaborate creations, and it hurts my hands. I hope that with more use over time they will loosen a little bit.
