Over the years, we have enjoyed numerous Djeco sets. Still, the Fox Family Paint Kit is one of my favorites due to its exceptional attention to detail. The paint colors are rich and stunning, thanks to the use of gouache paint. Gouache is a form of paint closely related to watercolor but with a higher pigment concentration. It is flat, more opaque, and dries faster, making it ideal for creating adjacent stripes. The removable body parts are thick and absorbent, and the kit includes everything you need. Additionally, the kit's attention to detail is impressive.

The instruction manual for the Fox Family Paint Kit is straightforward to understand, making it perfect for children. It clearly explains the order in which to apply each paint color. And for the child who prefers to paint in situ, the thick paper sheets also indicate the sequence.

And the fasteners are color coated to match the painted pieces, an elegant touch anyone can appreciate.

I love that the bulk of what is involved in the Fox Family Watercolor kit is painting lines. So your child will not only be asked to master his paintbrush as it traverses the removable piece but also to lay down the colors in the correct sequence. So much thinking, so many skills, so much personality. Completed characters measure a large Daddy Fox (19.6"), Mommy Fox (15.7"), and Baby Fox (11").
