Some books are insubstantial enough that after one read-through you’ve mined their entire depth. Other books, such as the Usborne Zoo Picture Puzzle Book, necessitate repeated use to fully capitalize on the scope of thinking and identification skills.
With each read of the Zoo Picture Puzzle Book, your child will discover new patterns, hidden objects, or items that continue to interest him. Overflowing with charming, vibrantly-illustrated animal menageries, your child will be looking for similarities to spot or differences to detect while developing his visual discrimination, a mental and visual activity that is essential for reading readiness.
When Zoo Picture Puzzle Book’s challenges become stale, add your own, such as “find three…” or “find a purple…,” and encourage your child to challenge you, which will build his vocabulary skills as well!
Zoo Picture Puzzle Book is an oversized super-thick paper book for 2- to 5-year-olds.

”I can see the Usborne Zoo Picture Puzzle book (and others) being a part of our homeschool for years to come as a fun way to practice visual discrimination and thinking skills. It’s an enjoyable activity for kids and adults, which makes learning a partnership and sharpens mental acuity.”Read the Review
My 5 year old requests to do these over and over! I'm glad she loves them but by this time she just has the whole thing memorized. They are a good quality and the illustrations are bright and colorful.
We love all of the picture puzzle books. They're sturdy and age appropriate for my preschooler.
My son (3) loves this series of books! He does a pretty good job finding the items but occasionally needs a prompt (top or bottom etc.) he would do this book all day if I let him!
I wish that there were more things to find on each page. Also, I am not sure that this book belongs in the preschool curriculum kit. It seems more appropriate for the 4+ crowd.
My kids (ages 5 & 2) love this book! The pictures in this book are so bright and eye-catching and there is a lot of fun happening on each page! We like to find all of the silly things that are "just not right" (like the monkey talking on a cell phone) and have a good laugh together... the monkey is always changing who he is talking to by the way. 😄 It is just such a fun book to enjoy together and can help teach colors (lots of colors!), animal identification, animal habitats, creative story telling (why is the guine pig wearing a wig?), etc., all in addition to the actual search and find "missions."
