Barefoot Baby-Proof Books, set of 2
Dropped in the sink, carried around all day, and chewed more than read—these are the kinds of books babies really use. Baby-Proof: A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea and Baby-Proof: Over in the Meadow are waterproof, chew-safe books designed for exactly that stage.
The flexible pages bend, splash, and rinse clean with ease, giving your child the freedom to explore with both hands—and sometimes with emerging teeth.
Built around familiar songs, these books invite singing instead of simply reading. A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea introduces ocean animals through a cumulative rhyme, while Over in the Meadow builds counting skills as children meet animals from one to ten.
The repeating lyrics help your child anticipate what comes next, encouraging participation long before he can read. QR codes link to audio and animation, making it easy for the whole family to learn the songs together.
As your child sings, listens, points, and turns the pages, he naturally builds early language, memory, rhythm, and counting skills. Better yet, these durable books are always ready for another round, no matter how enthusiastically they've been enjoyed.
How to Use Barefoot Baby-Proof Books, set of 2
- Hand the book to your child and let him explore it his own way. Bending the pages, chewing on the corners, flipping back and forth, or even taking it into the bath are all part of the experience.
- Sing the story instead of reading it. The familiar tunes help your child recognize repeated words and begin anticipating what comes next.
- As you sing, point to the animals, count together, and talk about what you see on each page. Before long, your child will begin joining in with favorite words, sounds, and motions.
- Keep the book within easy reach at home, in the diaper bag, or on the go. Because it's waterproof and easy to rinse clean, it's ready for everyday adventures wherever your child takes it.
