Children create four animal collages—a bear, bunny, cat, and mouse—using precut pieces, thick collage boards, and included materials designed specifically for small hands.
The wordless instruction booklet allows children to follow visual directions independently by showing each step in sequence. As children build each collage, they practice matching shapes, counting pieces, sequencing steps, and correctly placing pieces.
Each project begins with a partially printed animal board and gradually becomes complete as children add felt, paper, cardboard pieces, and decorative elements.

I received Collages for Little Ones (Ages 3–6) for my 5-year-old, and overall she really enjoyed the activities. The materials are sturdy, colorful, and well-made. I appreciated that the kit included glue and plenty of decorations to dress up the animals, which made it feel like a complete, ready-to-use activity right out of the box. That said, we did have a small issue with the glue. It doesn’t stick very well, and even after drying, some of the decorations would come off. My child actually mentioned that stickers might work better than glue—it would definitely make the activity easier and less frustrating for little ones. She also shared a creative suggestion: it would be fun if the animals could be cut out and turned into paper dolls, maybe even with additional outfit options to mix and match. I thought that was a great idea and would add even more replay value to the kit. I would also note that younger children (closer to age 3) will likely need parental assistance, especially with the glue. Some of the decorations are on the smaller side, which can be tricky for little hands to handle independently. Overall, this is a fun, colorful craft kit that kept my child engaged. With a few small improvements to the adhesive and possibly some added interactive features, it would be even better.

I just love that the Djeco kits come with the curriculum pack. They are really fun for the kiddos and nice to use on a day when we need to chill out.
