Critical And Creative 5
Critical & Creative Thinking Activities: Grade 5, encourages your child to approach problems thoughtfully, make connections, and consider ideas from multiple perspectives. Through 46 themed units, he'll strengthen both logical reasoning and creative thinking as he works through a variety of engaging challenges.
Each unit includes activities such as logic puzzles, mazes, secret codes, Venn diagrams, patterning exercises, and other problem-solving tasks designed to develop reasoning, fluency, originality, and flexible thinking. Rather than focusing on memorization, the activities encourage your child to analyze information, identify relationships, evaluate possibilities, and generate creative solutions.
The themes draw from everyday life, personal interests, and imaginative situations. Your child will find himself exploring topics such as dinosaurs, board games, breakfast foods, remote controls, caves, garage sales, technology, and other familiar experiences that provide a natural setting for higher-level thinking.
Helpful parent notes provide guidance, all student pages are reproducible for home use, and a complete answer key is included for easy review.
Published by a secular company, Critical & Creative Thinking Activities may include an occasional unit that does not align with every family's preferences and can be easily skipped if desired.
By combining creative exploration with logical analysis, this workbook helps your child develop the thinking skills needed for learning across subjects and for solving problems beyond the page.

Critical Thinking
Kristen F.
I like how this book has a mixture of thinking questions that include math, puzzles, and everyday observations. We use this book 3 to 4 times a week.

Good but…
Jen
I have mixed feelings about this because I personally thought this book was really nice. There’s tons of different activities in it to keep things interesting and exciting. There’s various topics and different things to think about that you don’t normally get with any other subject. Here’s the but… my student didn’t like it. I was so surprised because of how fun this book seems, but he groaned when I brought it out. I asked why and he’d just shrug. We never finished it so I might try it again next year but I won’t buy another unless he shows interest this time around.

Good balance of challenge
Jill W.
Lots of good puzzles and challenges. Daughter doesn't love it, but that shouldn't always be the goal. She does get enjoyment, especially when she completes harder ones and builds confidence. It challenges her in different ways and isn't too repetitive.
