The Illusion Cubes are a series of identical “virtual cube” building tiles that can be assembled in an almost unlimited number of ways. Each six-sided “cube” is represented by one double-sided tile. The six faces of the virtual cube are colored black, white, and silver. Each is constructed using three diamond-shaped faces on each side, which form a hexagon. One face on each side of the Illusion Cube has been “lowered,” to allow certain faces to slide together. This means that as you build an illusion, the upper face of one tile can overlap all or part of the lower face of an adjacent cube, making it easier to create more complex illusions.
There are 120 challenges for you, split into eight levels of complexity:
LEVEL 1 uses between 3 and 4 cubes
LEVEL 2 uses between 5 and 6 cubes
LEVEL 3 uses between 7 and 9 cubes
LEVEL 4 uses between 10 and 12 cubes
LEVEL 5 uses between 13 and 15 cubes
LEVEL 6 uses between 16 and 18 cubes
LEVEL 7 uses between 19 and 21 cubes
LEVEL 8 uses between 22 and 24 cubes
The rest is up to you! Design, create and rotate your own illusions with the cubes; add more cubes from more sets if you wish.
