This is the DVD component of Math-U-See Alpha — the video lessons taught by Steve Demme himself. If you already own the Alpha manipulatives and workbooks, or you're piecing together a replacement copy, this is the disc that drives the whole program.
Each lesson on the DVD shows Steve introducing the concept, demonstrating it with the colored blocks, and walking through the thinking step by step before your child ever picks up a pencil. Alpha covers single-digit addition and subtraction, place value, basic fractions (halves and fourths), telling time, skip counting by 2s, 5s, 10s, and 100s, and an introduction to shapes and measurement — all taught visually, in the order Math-U-See is designed to be taught.
