How to Use Easy Grammar
- Plan on completing one lesson each school day. Most lessons take only 10–15 minutes, making Easy Grammar an easy addition to your language arts routine.
- Begin by teaching and reviewing the prepositions. This step is the foundation of the Easy Grammar method, and taking the time to master it will make future grammar concepts much easier to understand.
- Have your child complete the daily exercises independently when possible, then review the work together or use the answer key for self-correction. The short lessons and frequent review help concepts stick without requiring long grammar sessions.
- Administer a test after every ten lessons using the Test Book. These assessments provide a simple way to monitor progress and identify concepts that may need additional practice.
- If your child struggles with a concept, don't worry about moving slowly. Easy Grammar is designed with plenty of repetition, allowing students to revisit and reinforce skills throughout the year.

We have had a love/hate relationship with Easy Grammar through the years as at times it has felt tedious (in years past); this year I feel like he has it down! This is big for him. I see the improvement and the culmination of knowledge in him.

Can't Beat Easy Grammar

My students do very well with Easy Grammar. The 8th grade year was no exception. Lessons are small and not overwhelming , while still touching on a few different concepts again and again. I suggest getting the test book that goes with this. I The one thing I did not like about this teacher's guide, unlike the prior year's guides, is the answers are in the back of the book in an answer key. In other years we have used there was student page for photocopying and another page the mirrored it, which was the answer key. I found it annoying to have to flip to the back of the book so frequently. You could purchase this as the workbook and just tear out the answer key, if you wanted to save money and had no plans to reuse the answer key/workbook.

Easy Grammar Ultimate is a meaty series, with more grammar than I actually require, but it can't be beat. It is thorough, comprehensive, and doesn't take forever. The daily work is bite-sized, so it fits in with the rest of the school day.

This series works! I have seen my children's grammar knowledge increase as evidenced by significant improvement in their writing and yearly test scores. We took Timberdoodle's suggestion and purchased Teacher Guides for our children to use to encourage independent learning. Highly recommended!
