Edubrix Rainbow Junior 300
Edubrix Rainbow Junior 300 is a Duplo®-compatible preschool construction set with 300 colorful pieces and over 70 guided models, giving young builders a hands-on introduction to problem-solving and spatial reasoning.
The set begins with simple patterns that help your child identify the correct pieces and figure out how they fit together. Early success builds confidence while strengthening observation skills and attention to detail.
As your child progresses through the photo-based instructions, he’ll create vehicles, animals, people, and other engaging models. Each project introduces new building techniques and a little more complexity, so he can tackle increasingly ambitious builds without suddenly finding himself in over his head. Please note: piece colors may not always match the colors shown in the guidebook.
The unique connectors are where Edubrix gets especially interesting. Instead of limiting your child to stacking pieces up and down, the connectors allow pieces to turn, stack, and attach in multiple directions. Suddenly, there are more ways to solve a building problem, and more possibilities to explore when he starts creating his own designs.
All that building provides plenty of practice in fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and problem-solving. Following the guided models also asks your child to study what he sees, select the right pieces, determine their orientation, and recreate the design step by step.
Many construction sets focus primarily on what children build. Edubrix Rainbow Junior 300 also develops their building skills, encouraging careful observation, planning, and creative problem-solving with every model they create.
How to Use Edubrix Rainbow Junior 300
- Start simple and aim for about 2 models each week. Begin with the easiest models in the guidebook and work forward. At this pace, your child can build steadily throughout the school year while becoming comfortable with the pieces, connectors, and building process.
- Let the guidebook increase the challenge. Early models help your child practice finding the right pieces, noticing position and orientation, and figuring out how everything connects. As he progresses, the vehicles, animals, people, and other models gradually require more careful observation and spatial reasoning.
- Let him puzzle through mistakes. If a piece doesn't seem to fit, encourage your child to compare his model with the picture and figure out what needs to change. That's valuable problem-solving practice. If frustration starts taking over, though, stop and finish the model in another short session.
- Don't worry about matching colors. The pieces in your set may not always match the colors pictured in the guidebook. Focus on matching the shapes, positions, and connections instead. The model can still be right even when the colors are different.
- Make room for inventions. Once your child is comfortable following the guided models, turn him loose with the pieces. He can modify a model he has already built or start from scratch and see what those unusual connectors make possible. Following directions builds important skills, but eventually becoming the designer is half the fun.

My son loves these! So many fun things to build and helps us work on colors and shapes, too. He enjoys building the figures and playing with them. Also, I love that they come in a storage box!
